One—Great Leader

In consideration of his health, Deng Xiaoping, one of China’s paramount leaders, followed medical advice in his later years by giving up smoking and distilled spirits, choosing instead to enjoy one glass of Shaoxing yellow wine each day.
In the early 1990s, a selection was conducted to identify outstanding Shaoxing yellow wines suitable for service at the highest national level. Following a formal tasting and evaluation among three leading Shaoxing producers, including Dongfeng Winery (the predecessor of Kuaijishan), only Dongfeng Jiafan Yellow Wine was chosen. It was subsequently delivered to Beijing and served at the table of Deng Xiaoping.
The Lanting brand represents the same quality standard as the yellow wine enjoyed by Deng Xiaoping at that time.
Two—Prestigious Honors
Three—Landmark State Banquets

Founding Banquet of the People’s Republic of China
At the historic founding banquet in 1949, Shaoxing yellow wine was served as part of the official state reception. The wine was produced by Yunji Distillery, the predecessor of Kuaijishan, whose yellow wine was already highly regarded in Beijing at the time, making it a natural choice for this landmark occasion.

State Banquet Wine of the Great Hall of the People
Renowned for its rich yet gentle mouthfeel and remarkable versatility with Chinese cuisine, Kuaijishan’s Lanting was selected as the exclusive yellow wine served at state banquets held at the Great Hall of the People, underscoring its status as a benchmark of quality within China’s oldest yellow wine tradition.

Official Banquet Wine of the G20 Hangzhou Summit
Yellow wine stands as a vital cultural vessel of China’s 5,000-year civilization and a witness to the nation’s progress through time. As a pioneer and leader of China’s high-end yellow wine, Kuaijishan’s Lanting was selected as the official banquet wine served to heads of state and international leaders at the 2016 G20 Hangzhou Summit.
Seventy—Years as a National Gift

In 1956, Shaoxing yellow wine brewed by Yunji Winery, the predecessor of Kuaijishan, was officially selected for use by China’s overseas diplomatic missions in recognition of its outstanding quality. In August of that year, 24 jars of Shaoxing yellow wine were dispatched to Chinese embassies abroad for diplomatic receptions and official gifting in 1957, marking the start of its journey as a national gift.

In 2020, marking the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Cuba, Kuaijishan's Lanting was presented as a symbol of friendship to the Cuban Ambassador to China, Pereyra, commemorating the enduring ties between the two nations.

In 2024, backed by an unbroken lineage of brewing craftsmanship, profound cultural heritage, and decades of distinguished presence in diplomatic settings, Kuaijishan's Lanting was officially reinstated on the National Gifts List of China’s State Protocol.

In 2025, during French President Emmanuel Macron’s fourth state visit to China, the official gift list released by the Élysée Palace named the co-branded “Sino-French Harmony” gift set, featuring a leading French Champagne house alongside Kuaijishan's Lanting, as the No. 1 National Gift, bearing witness to the friendship between China and France.
Fivefold—Exclusivity

The three core ingredients of yellow wine are strictly selected: ultra-filtered water sourced from Jian Lake, 55% polished organic glutinous rice, and brewing starters preserved through an unbroken lineage of more than 280 years.

The proprietary “15179” brewing process: 15 – Wheat koji added at 15%;1 – Rice soaking temperature controlled at 10°C ± 3°C;7 – Combined temperature of the first two high-temperature raking stages ≥70°C;9 – Fermentation period extending beyond 90 days

All Kuaijishan's Lanting products are crafted under the joint supervision of a “dual national-level” master team, comprising National First-Class Brewmasters and National First-Class Sommeliers, ensuring excellence at every stage.

The National Central Wine Cellar, approved for construction in 1956, offers ideal conditions of temperature, humidity, and light for aging yellow wine. Every drop of Lanting represents the essence of decades of maturation within this state-level cellar.

Each bottle undergoes decades of aging, with Lanting Master requiring a minimum aging period of no less than 30 years.
